Wild Berry Walk

Wish you were confident enough to pick wild berries you find along the trail? This will be a fun learning experience that you will be able to utilize the rest of your life.
Join Chick of the Woods for a walk in the woods, learning how to identify wild berries. We may find raspberries, blackberries, mulberries, wild grapes, gooseberries, choke cherries, black cherries, elderberries, cranberries, nanny berries, plums, and more. We will also make sure to point out the non-edible and poisonous berries that we see.
**Please note! This is not a “berry picking” class, but you are welcome to sample any berries we find – although it’s not guaranteed there will be ripe berries to taste.
We will be walking a gorgeous trail around a lake that is 2.5 miles long. It is easy, flat walking. Depending on how far we get, we may walk the whole loop, or just turn around and come back.
Exact meeting location will be emailed to participants at least 24 hours before the event starts.
Class may be canceled due to low attendance. Class is held rain or shine, but in cases of severe weather, credit will be issued.
