Morels and More Foraging Adventure

This is a fun outdoor adventure for the person looking to gain confidence and have fun foraging for their own food. We will begin the day by learning about foraging basics, safety, tips/tricks to finding and identifying mushrooms, and answer any questions. After our talk, we will wander through the private forest at Big Rock Creek looking for and picking mushrooms. We will also point out edible plants we see along the way and focus some time on tree identification. We could find edible mushrooms like oysters, morels, pheasant backs, velvet foot, chicken of the woods and many other varieties. In order to reduce any sense of competition, we will be splitting any mushrooms we find evenly with the group, but you are welcome to keep any plants you harvest.
