Springtime Foraging
May 3, 2025 @ 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm
$75.00Join us for a fun and hands-on outdoor adventure designed to boost your confidence and enjoyment in foraging for your own food!
We’ll start with a discussion covering the basics of foraging, safety guidelines, tips and tricks for identifying seasonal mushrooms and plants, and a chance to answer all your questions. Then, we’ll explore the forest, searching for and harvesting mushrooms while pointing out edible plants and focusing on tree identification along the way.
Possible mushroom finds include oysters, morels, pheasant backs, velvet foot, and more. Edible plants we may encounter include ramps, fiddleheads, nettle, garlic mustard, and other seasonal favorites. To ensure a collaborative experience, we’ll divide any mushrooms we gather evenly among the group.
