Fall Foraging

This is an outdoor adventure geared towards the beginner forager interested in becoming confident foraging common fall mushrooms, but this will also be fun for more experienced foragers looking to learn a couple new mushrooms and meet new, like-minded people.

We will  begin with a discussion on foraging basics, safety, tips/tricks to successful foraging, species of interest, and answer any questions. A walk in the woods will follow, looking for and discussing any mushrooms or any other edible species that we find. This will be slow-paced, walking off-trail and over uneven terrain for approximately 2 hours. After the hunt, we will meet back where we started to review what we found.

The exact location will emailed to attendees at least 24 hours before the event. We like to wait until the week of the event to decide on a location so we can choose an area that has better conditions for mushrooms (more rain).

The event is non-refundable and the class will happen rain or shine, but in cases of severe weather or other unforeseen circumstances, you will be able to use your credit for a future event.
