Memorial Day Mushroom Hunt and Light Tasting

The last mushroom hunt of the year with hopes of finding morels! This is a beginner level class learning about and searching for springtime mushrooms, including but not limited to morel, oyster, and pheasant back. We will also learn about tree identification and other edible plants while we are looking for mushrooms. The mushroom hunt will be followed by a light tasting of springtime mushrooms. Feel free to make it a picnic and pack a lunch to eat while the mushrooms are being prepared for you. Bring home any mushrooms we find!

*We will be walking off trail and over uneven terrain.
*Event will happen rain or shine. In the event of severe weather, class will be cancelled and credit can be used for future events.
*We can never guarantee we will find mushrooms, but in the rare chance that were to happen, we can guarantee you will leave more knowledgeable on how to find and identify them on your own.
